Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts of the USA is looking for a graduate student in the capacity of UX Design Intern to help inform and advance the existing Digital User Experience Strategy. The DUX Strategy is driving the organizational-wide digital end-to-end experience of millions of girls, their caregivers and troop leaders within 111 independent Girl Scout Councils around the country as we support digital products and services designed to support girl leadership development. The intern will report directly to the Director, Digital Customer Experience at Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA).

About the Internship

Position Responsibilities Might Include:

● Develop Personas

● Develop Journey Maps

● Develop Experience Maps

● Collaborate with other GSUSA interns

● Support/Develop other on-going CX/UX activities

Process

Qualifications

● Graduate student studying in the fields of Instructional Design/Technologies, User Experience, Education, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

● Experience with CX/UX tools, products and processes (wireframing, developing personas, creating journey or experience maps, performing a market comp, working with business requirements, etc.). Actually, experience with personas is a requirement.

● Detail orientation, with strong time management, prioritization skills, and project management.

● Experience with InDesign, Figma, or related tools a plus.

● Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.

● A high level of flexibility, persistence and dependability.

● Strong spoken and written communication skills.

● Desire to improve and uplift the lives and voices of girls.

Commitment

This is a fall 2020 placement, beginning September and running until December/January. Intern will be expected to work at least three days per week.
