Hooked on Phonics is looking for a multi-talented individual to work with us as a UX Research intern. The Hooked on Phonics team has ambitious goals and a small team, so you’ll have a big role, with plenty of responsibility. We are looking for someone who is willing to take initiative and help out in many aspects of UX Research.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated UX Research intern to join our team for the Fall semester of 2024. The intern will be managed by the Senior Director of Product & UX and will collaborate closely with our external design and development team, our educational advisor, the marketing team, and the content team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in recruiting and organizing logistics for research initiatives.
Identify assumptions and determine appropriate research methods to test assumptions and hypotheses.
Produce research protocols that adhere to best practices.
Produce and test prototypes with kids and/or parents.
Analyze research results (data, transcription, reports).
Assist in producing documentation of research takeaways and recommendations.
Requirements:
Current graduate student
Experienced in UX Research methods and qualitative research study design
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Good rapport with kids
Available remotely for 15-20 hours per week
Own a computer with reliable internet access
Eager to learn!
Internship Details:
Duration: Fall semester of 2024 (September - December)
Start Date: Flexible, after Labor Day
End Date: Flexible, mid-December
Hourly Rate: $20/hour, paid biweekly
Hours: 15-20 hours per week (2 - 2.5 days), remote
