Are you passionate about education and data, and excited to make a meaningful impact at scale in K–12 classrooms worldwide? We are looking for an analytical and motivated Education Impact Evaluation Intern to join our team and help improve how we measure the impact of our coding education offerings in K–12 schools, focusing on key outcomes like student engagement, confidence, and learning outcomes. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in an innovative EdTech startup, where you’ll contribute to key projects at the intersection of learning design, educational media, and data-driven analysis. From designing surveys and evaluation frameworks to diving into user analytics and feedback, this internship is perfect for someone eager to learn, grow, and make a difference in the field of education by using insights to improve student experiences. The position is remote.
Analyze quantitative data from various analytics tools to track how students and teachers use our app, identifying patterns in engagement and usage.
Design and conduct mixed-methods research (combining quantitative analytics with qualitative methods like surveys or interviews) to evaluate how our tools impact student engagement, confidence, and learning progress.
Collect and interpret qualitative feedback from student and teacher surveys, interviews, and classroom observations to gain deeper insights into the learning experience and areas for improvement.
Define and refine key success metrics (e.g., frequency of use, project completion rates, student confidence growth), ensuring we measure what matters for learner success.
Create clear reports and data visualizations to communicate findings. Collaborate with the team to translate insights into actionable recommendations and develop scalable strategies for ongoing evaluation of our programs’ impact.
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., education, learning sciences, educational technology, data analytics, or a related field).
Experience or coursework in educational research, program evaluation, or learning analytics. Comfortable working with data sets (e.g., using spreadsheets, analytics tools, or basic Python/R for analysis) and interpreting statistical results.
Familiarity with survey design and qualitative research methods (such as conducting interviews or analyzing open-ended feedback).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights in a clear and compelling way to diverse stakeholders.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and data sources effectively.
Passion for education and a commitment to making coding accessible to all.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Creative problem-solving skills and a 'can-do' attitude.
