UX Research & Design / Product Design / Learning Design Internship

• Are you passionate about researching and designing digital media to support the education community? We're looking for a motivated intern to join our team at NYU Arts & Science Communications.

• Our team advises and collaborates with the Arts & Science community on communications strategy and execution. We also design, develop, and administer 100 websites on our content management system (CMS), offering training and support to over 500 administrators.

• As our intern, you'll work directly with the Product Design Manager, and collaborate with our talented team of web developers, designers, and content specialists.

• Depending on your skills and goals, you may support or lead a variety of projects involving user research, user experience design, product design, and learning design. There are several opportunities available, so let’s talk and see what is the best fit for you. You’ll also engage in the day-to-day functions of a higher education communications office.

Current Projects Include:

• UX research to improve our websites and content management system (CMS)

• Enhancing online learning resources

• Designing new website features

Qualifications and Skills:

• Understanding of UX research and online learning best practices

• Strong remote work and communication skills

• Good attention to detail

• Experience with CMSs like WordPress, Squarespace, or Wix (preferred)

• Prototyping skills using Figma (preferred)

Position Logistics:

• This position is unpaid and primarily remote, with opportunities for in-person meetings.

• The meeting structure includes weekly 1:1 meetings and team meetings (typically on Wednesdays and Thursdays).
