As we near the holidays and a much-needed break, we wish you all well and take a moment to give thanks for our DMDL, G4L and ECT students and alums, our faculty- full time and adjunct alike- and to the ALT staff that support us as we navigate this new normal.

  • NYU ECT professor, Camillia Matuk, writes about Learning about Science in an Unfolding Pandemic , exploring how the COVID-19 pandemic provided a context for learning about the role of science in a global health crisis.

  • Julie Daniel Davis, an Adjunct Professor at UT Chattanooga wrote a Medium blog post "The future of EdTEch: a 10Ps perspective" with a take on where she thinks the future of EdTech is heading. Can you identify more Ps from what she has already listed?

  • Apple released a new resource that helps elementary students learn coding. Aptly called “Everybody Can Code”, the curriculum was created by educators and Apple’s instructional designers. Check it out here.

  • SoundTrap for education is a platform that rethinks how music is taught in schools. Accessible through a browser in any device, it helps students and teachers explore how sound recording can be used in any subjects. Explore more here.

  • LEGO’s Spike Essential is a cross-curricular toolkit that hopes to promote meaningful learning in teaching STEAM. The set also comes with 449 Lego bricks as well as mini-figures with multiple personalities. Watch their video demo.
