"By participating in the ECT portfolio competition, I got feedback on my work, the chance to showcase my skills and win something for the first time in my life."
-Manal Alyaba, ECT student
Portfolio competition winner
The ECT faculty are excited to invite you to develop and submit your professional portfolio for a prize of up to $1000! We're looking at all portfolios and encourage students with beginning portfolios as well as more developed ones to enter this competition.
There are two categories you can enter:
Most "promising"- (for those just starting out)- this prize is less about quantity than potential (based on judging criteria below)
Most "developed"- (for those who already have a few projects and are further along)- we’ll factor in quantity in addition to the judging criteria below
You may have guessed this but prizes are really just our sneaky way to incentive you to start to develop your professional portfolio now, rather than wait until later! Our hope is that you'll enjoy working on this, and that you'll appreciate the incentive to get started now. And of course, we also hope your portfolio will become an important tool in for your job search and professional online identity.
*Prizes are funded out of an endowed Rudin scholarship to help you offset tuition costs.
You must be a current LTXD, G4L or ECT (PhD) student to apply.
Since you will be applying the prize money towards tuition, you need to have at least one semester more to go in your studies.
You are not eligible to apply if you're receiving NYU based tuition remission.
