NYU Silver Ed Tech Internship Opportunity
NYU Silver is a school deeply engaged with teaching and learning, social justice advocacy, clinical practice, and research. For an intern, Silver offers a wealth of exposure to a wide range of pedagogical-technological challenges, and opportunities for exploring the space between learning theory and actual practice.
About the Position:
As an intern with Silver’s Educational Technology office, you will have the opportunity to participate in the full range of responsibilities of an educational technologist in the higher education sector. This will include, but is not limited to:
Learning design for face-to-face and online learning courses
Support for Brightspace course site updates and new course implementation.
Multimedia production/post-production of audio/video content for courses and academic events
UX problem-solving for a wide range of teaching and learning technology employed by faculty at the school
Faculty and student web-based resources for teaching and learning
Research and documentation of emerging technologies for teaching and learning
Virtual simulation and game-based learning design/development
Design/development of digital literacy professional development programming
*Although the above represent many of our current needs, an intern at Silver should not feel limited by them.
*Interns will have the opportunity to customize their experience to reflect personal areas of interest or innovation within the context of teaching and learning at the School.
Current projects include:
Leveraging virtual spaces for teaching and learning
Evaluation of course design with a view towards updating courses with dated design and resources
Redesign of a web-based toolkit for teaching
Exploring the uses of AI for teaching and learning
Position logistics:
This position is remote and unpaid
Meeting structure includes a one hour weekly check-in via Zoom
