Project participant incentives.
Conference expenses (e.g., registration fees, travel, room and board, meals).
Equipment, technology, software, etc. necessary to conduct a project.
DOE fingerprinting fees for conducting research in NYC public schools.
Workshop participation and other professional opportunities.
Is a current student in the ECT program.
Is enrolled in courses (not on leave of absence or maintaining matriculation).
Is in good academic standing.
Have not previously received an ECT Student Grant, or other NYU grants.
Require the funds for purposes that can not otherwise be covered by faculty advisor funds.
Plan to use the funds to support their work on a dissertation or master's thesis project.
Are presenting at (rather than only attending) a conference or workshop, if the funds are requested for this purpose.
A PROJECT DESCRIPTION: (<500 words). A brief description of the project for which you are applying, including its goals, methods, and intended outcomes.
A BUDGET & BUDGET JUSTIFICATION: Itemize your anticipated expenses, and write a few lines of justification for the expense. Provide links, as relevant (e.g., to the product webpage, conference registration page, etc.). Note that, pending availability, grants may be used to reimburse past qualifying expenses that were originally paid out-of-pocket.
Note that funds will be awarded upon proof-of-purchase. Plan to keep receipts, evidence of conference attendance, etc., and to submit them to ALT Student Services in order to initiate the transfer of funds.
Submit your application by 5pm on the following dates. Applicants will be notified of the results by email.
