The Opportunity: Fall 2024
Project Recess, a leading K-12 edtech consultancy, is seeking a motivated intern from the NYU Steinhardt MA program in Learning Technology and Experience Design. Join our team part-time (15-20 hours/week) to make a direct impact on NYC Public Schools. You'll gain hands-on experience researching, developing, and implementing effective ed tech strategies, while also exploring the exciting potential of AI in teaching, learning, and educator well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Professional Development: Collaborate on designing and delivering engaging workshops, webinars, and other PD experiences for educators, focusing on topics such as Google Workspace for Education and AI tools.
Curriculum Enhancement: Work with educators to identify innovative ways to leverage Google Workspace and AI tools to enhance curriculum delivery, personalize learning, and support student engagement.
AI Exploration: Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies and their potential to support teaching, learning, and educator mental health.
Outreach & Communication: Contribute to our website, social media, and other communication channels, showcasing the potential of ed tech tools for teaching and learning and how Project Recess can facilitate that experience.
Qualifications:
Passion for K-12 education and technology integration.
Interest in exploring the applications of AI in education, with a background in AI or a strong motivation to learn.
Strong understanding of leveraging ed tech tools for teaching and learning, such as Google Classroom, ChatGPT, etc.
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
